Seeking adventure, a woman and her group of friends set out to hike the Appalachian Trail. Despite warnings to stick to the trail, they veer off course, encountering a community of mountain dwellers who will protect their privacy at any cost. Suddenly under siege, the group must battle for their survival or risk succumbing to the terror of the backwoods.

As with the previous Wrong Turn films, the newest addition to the roster is filled with strong bloody violence, grisly images, and pervasive language. Make sure to have your heartbeat in check before watching the film.

The 8th Night

The trending Korean film The 8th Night follows the story of a monk who hunts down a millennia-old spirit that’s possessing humans and unleashing hell on Earth, with prayer beads in one hand and an ax in the other.

Although a shot at something uncharted, the film kind of took off on the wrong side but somewhat survived. One viewer described it as a “convoluted supernatural horror movie, but the suspenseful and surprising twists can make up for the film’s messy final showdown scene.”
