It has been an action-packed anniversary for Ameriprime Hospice, as celebrations surrounding the event include a move to a new location and the launch of a new website. Both showcase how successful the end-of-life care facility has been since it opened its doors in 2014.
Ameriprime was founded by family nurse practitioner Mansoor Kazi. The facility was inspired by Kazi’s experience watching his father suffer a long, painful death from lung cancer when Kazi was just 23.
“I vowed to make a difference-because I felt no one should endure the suffering my father did when pain could be managed, allowing people to transition peacefully,” he said.
Kazi’s core staff of registered nurses, medical social workers, and clergy have been with him since the facility opened, acting as a support system for patients so families can focus on spending quality time with their loved one and addressing the challenges that come with palliative care.
