LinkOptimizer saves users hours of manual processing through automatic InDesign link size reduction as well as conversion of image formats and other time saving tasks. The new version fixes an issue where system errors could occur on attempt to process cloud-based links, which are now ignored. The update also introduces native support for Apple M1 processor.

Toronto, ON, Canada – March 22, 2022 – Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of LinkOptimizer 6.1.8, a maintenance update to company’s image workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer liberates InDesign users from time-consuming repetitive tasks through automation of complex image manipulation processes that involve precise link replacement after image editing in Photoshop.

The new update improves the performance and stability of LinkOptimizer by ignoring cloud-based links placed from the CC Libraries panel. This, in turn, eliminates system errors that occurred on attempt to process cloud-based images which cannot be handled by Photoshop and are uncommon in InDesign projects. The update also introduces native support for Apple Silicon M1 processor.

“LinkOptimizer is absolutely great,” says John Townsend, a design studio owner from Kalamazoo, Michigan. “I used to have to do all the conversions manually. This app is a dream. I converted 158 photos for a book project I’m just finishing up tonight – couldn’t have done it without LinkOptimizer.”

LinkOptimizer works automatically with Photoshop to eliminate the excess image data of InDesign links, perform essential image adjustments such as color conversion and sharpening, and convert image formats. For example, with just a click of a button users can:

Process dozens of InDesign files at once

– Scale and crop images to match their dimensions in InDesign

– Change their resolution to 300 dpi

Convert RGB images to a CMYK profile

– Resave PNG files as PSD

– Run a Photoshop action on each image.

As a result users can save gigabytes of disk space and countless hours of optimizing images manually, accelerate document output, reduce job turnaround and cut costs through faster processing.

Pricing and Availability:

LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for US$259.95 (Lite version: $179.95) as well as from Adobe Exchange and authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 6.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires macOS 10.12-12.x and Adobe InDesign/Photoshop CS6-2022.
