Following Their Public Sale, Shibui Labs LLC Announced Their "The Soulless Citadel" NFT Collection Is Now Live On Zilswap’s Arky Marketplace.
“The Soulless Citadel” NFT collection goes live on Zilswap’s Arky marketplace.

Shibui Labs LLC, the creator of the new story-based NFT collection “The Soulless Citadel, ” announced its successful integration with Arky on March 11th. This listing on Zilswap’s NFT marketplace provides a valuable platform to the Soulless Citadel community, one where anyone can now buy and sell Soulless NFTs. The announcement came soon after the project’s record-breaking public sale, where the entire collection had sold out faster than any NFT project on Zilliqa to date.

Since the conclusion of this initial sale, which totaled 7.373 million ZIL (~$295k USD) over a mere six days, trade volume on Arky has now reached a level of more than 900,000 ZIL (~$36k USD). This total includes the massive 250,000 ZIL (~$10k USD) sale of a single “Legend” ranked NFT.

Shibui Labs co-founders James Fazio and Elliot Gray had a long history of collaboration. Together, they had created award-winning documentaries, worked for various non-profit organizations, and achieved success in the areas of commercial storytelling and branding. The idea for The Soulless Citadel, a project combining art, storytelling, and the blockchain, quickly became the primary focus of their creative talents. Eventually, the project led James and Elliot to partner with the boutique development studio Quinence.

The Director of Quinence is Ratul Saha, whose qualifications include a Ph.D. in the field of Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a history of successful work in the blockchain sector dating back to 2013. He described the studio as “An ardent believer in tech training,” a statement made evident by their training of more than one hundred developers on Zilliqa and a prolific history of mentoring Zilliqa based projects. Zilliqa’s own website states, “Quinence is the preferred development partner of Zilliqa.” The reasoning for this preference was recently demonstrated to be more than justified when Quinence played a major role in creating the truly next-generation ZRC-6 and ZRC-7 standards, both of which are now complete and live on the Zilliqa blockchain. Quinence’s development talent has been a boon to Zilliqa and other major blockchain companies such as Web3 foundation and Tezos.

The Soulless Citadel has now achieved the goal of initial mint and a successful marketplace listing. Still, according to co-founder and lead artist James Fazio, it’s just the beginning of a long list they have for future improvements. Currently under development by the team is a robust trading platform made specifically for their NFTs. This valuable resource is described as having numerous options and features, all of which aim to provide the best possible experience to owners of Soulless Citadel NFTs. Following the completion of this platform, there are plans to continue releasing new story chapters that further reveal the legend of the Citadel and the souls bound eternally within its walls. These new chapters will be accompanied by additional NFT collections and the possible gamification of the project. Shibui Labs stated that their primary goal is to continuously improve the Soulless Citadel experience. Eventually, they even hope to create an anime series or feature film telling the legend of the Soulless Citadel.

About Zilliqa

Zilliqa was founded in 2017. Since then, it has been developed by industry-leading scientists, engineers, and financial experts. When Zilliqa launched its main net in 2019, it became the first blockchain to go live using a structure known as sharding. This method of splitting a network into multiple parts in order for transactions to be processed in parallel allows Zilliqa to achieve high levels of speed and scalability. In addition to sharding, Zilliqa uses a unique smart contract language of their own design called Scilla. Scilla was the world’s first peer-reviewed smart contract language, designed to limit the network’s exposure to attack. The network operates using a combination of proof of work and practical byzantine fault tolerance, resulting in a mining process that is considerably more eco-friendly than many of the current blockchains in operation. Zilliqa now supports an ecosystem of over 250 different projects and has processed over 33 million transactions to date.
